The properties of photonic band gap in one-dimensional photonic crystals composed of single-negative metamaterials are studied theoretically. Our study shows that the photonic gap will vanish at a certain incident angle when both the phase-match and impedance-match conditions are satisfied simultaneously, suggesting that the bandwidth and location of the photonic gap are strongly dependent on the incident angle and polarization. However, the photonic gap will not vanish and may become insensitive to the incident angle when the two match conditions cannot be met. Our study also shows that losses in metamaterials have little effect on the properties of the photonic gap.  相似文献

Pheophorbide a (Pa) from Chinese herbal medicine Scutellaria Barbata and Silkworm excreta has been proved to be potential photosensitizer. The present study investigated the cytotoxicity of ovarian cancer cells induced by LED-activated Pa using light microscopy with the SRB staining. We further investigated the apoptosis of the cells 6 h after LED-activated Pa using of the flow cytometer with PI staining and nuclear staining. The results showed that LED-activated Pa remarkably caused cell death of ovarian cancer cells. The condensation of chromatin, nuclear fragmentations, and 12.3% of cells containing subdiploid levels of DNA were found in the ovarian cancer cells after the treatment of LED-activated Pa. These data demonstrated that LED-activated Pa could cause significant cytotoxicity and apoptosis of ovarian cancer cells.  相似文献

We propose the backward phase flow method to implement the Fourier–Bros–Iagolnitzer (FBI)-transform-based Eulerian Gaussian beam method for solving the Schrödinger equation in the semi-classical regime. The idea of Eulerian Gaussian beams has been first proposed in [12]. In this paper we aim at two crucial computational issues of the Eulerian Gaussian beam method: how to carry out long-time beam propagation and how to compute beam ingredients rapidly in phase space. By virtue of the FBI transform, we address the first issue by introducing the reinitialization strategy into the Eulerian Gaussian beam framework. Essentially we reinitialize beam propagation by applying the FBI transform to wavefields at intermediate time steps when the beams become too wide. To address the second issue, inspired by the original phase flow method, we propose the backward phase flow method which allows us to compute beam ingredients rapidly. Numerical examples demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed algorithms.  相似文献

The structure and bonding of the chlorine atom/carbon disulfide (CS(2)/Cl) complex involved in selective photochlorination reactions with alkanes was directly probed using transient resonance Raman spectroscopy. The experimental Raman vibrational frequencies were compared to those computed from density functional theory calculations for probable structures of the CS(2)/Cl complex. Our results indicate that the S [double bond] C [double bond] S...Cl complex species is responsible for the approximately 370 nm transient absorption band observed after ultraviolet photolysis of CCl(4) in the presence of CS(2). We discuss the structure and properties of the S [double bond] C [double bond] S...Cl complex and compare them with those for the related benzene/Cl and pyridine/Cl complexes.  相似文献

We investigate the formation of spiral crack patterns during the desiccation of thin layers of precipitates in contact with a substrate. This symmetry-breaking fracturing mode is found to arise naturally not from torsion forces but from a propagating stress front induced by the foldup of the fragments. We model their formation mechanism using a coarse-grain model for fragmentation and successfully reproduce the spiral cracks. Fittings of experimental and simulation data show that the spirals are logarithmic. Theoretical aspects of the logarithmic spirals are discussed. In particular we show that this occurs generally when the crack speed is proportional to the propagating speed of stress front.  相似文献

The theory of Eilenberger, modified to take into account the effect of the surface, is applied to the problem of the penetration of a weak magnetic field into a semiinfinite superconductor, and the standard result for the vector potential is derived by linearizing the Eilenberger equations. The dominant term in the asymptotic behaviour is argued to be monotonic for both large and small values of the Ginzburg-Landau parameterk gl . ForT≠ 0, there is a small intermediate range of values ofk gl for which the dominant term is oscillatory, but these oscillations are not related to those found by Eilenberger and Büttner in the isolated vortex problem for smallK gl . From an analysis of these results, we conclude that the absence of the Eilenberger-Büttner oscillations in the field penetration problem cannot be used as an argument against their existence in other problems; in particular, a separate investigation is required for the isolated vortex problem.  相似文献
